Sound travels in waves and the faster the waves the higher the frequency. You cannot see sound waves. But you can picture what they look like. Sound waves look a bit like waves in water. What happens when you throw a stone into a pond? Waves go out in circles from where it hit the water. Sound waves also go out in circles too. They can go out of a drum, a guitar or even a car. They go out from whatever is vibrating.
