Cyclone Lusi

Amazing nots today it is 50 knots and the forecast is very nasty . The cyclone is category 1 and the winds are making the most of it and some houses are down .

Where did this strong wind come from ,reporters all around new zealand are saying it came from the north pacific where fiji and tonga is around there.

They say it hit the north island first before it started to come down . Cyclon lusi is second tropical cyclone rains and winds .On that weekend it was pouring with rain the wind was extremely strong. Flipping over trampolines and basket ball hoop lusi was ruthless. Even though the winds were not as strong as expected.

Speed Writing

This morning we completed a speed writing challenge in ten minutes here is the result. 

Our school term inquiry is Tiaki Taonga. Which means care for our treasures .Our treasure is our people our community our most treasured and  our school. The motto is basicly just caring.

We made a korero about this and we had a whole week of fun doing random acts of kindness . To finish r.a.k week off ,we put on wigs and gave out lollies and balloons to the kids of point england.

Tiaki Taonga is a great motto because it covers everything that you will ever need in life.

A Day In A Life Of A New Zealand Soldier At The Boer War

Sounds of gunshots echoed around me as I woke up at four o’clock in the morning. “Neigh” the horses heard it too. We began our daily trek across the veldt, mostly on the back of a horse but also leading a horse by foot. We don’t wake up and have breakfast ,as there is little amounts and it has to be rationed out evenly.  

Not only do we have to worry about our allies and enemies ,but also the tough climates and the rough landscape of africa. My feet were frostbitten from the night as the climate dropped to -9 degrees. So most of the time I was riding my horse.

Conditions were hard no food which means no energy but we still had to walk for 30km a day I was exhausted . My day was over and i had a can of bully beef and army biscuits at the end of each day it is what i look forward to when i’m traveling

I fell asleep on the solid ground. With no cover besides my clothes I was starving and i had no energy .Goodnight

Piha

Enormous waves huge rocks and huge amounts of people can u guess what I'm talking about.

Piha - world famous in New Zealand for its huge waves, and guess what I went there. Not by myself of course I went with my uncle and my friends, Rocky,Wyatt and Uili.

We went to Piha on Sunday morning and it was awesome .While we were there we watched a dog dig up a hole and a gigantic wave came and smashed it, it was funny. There was one wave that was about 2 meters tall, the hooter went and we all ran up the beach. It just about pushed me over but I stood my ground as the wave went back out and it looked like I was surfing. So overall that was an awesome day.

Feeling extremely exhausted I dragged myself out to the kitchen for some brekky. I pulled out a bowl ,seized some weet-bix ,drained the milk bottle and bam brown soggy weet bix.
